DETAILS

At Encompass Community Supports, our Co-Response Team responds with law enforcement agencies to mental health related calls. They work to de-escalate issues on the scene, which decreases the number of arrests or admissions to state hospitals.

A Voluntary Database is accessed when 911 is called for help. If your information is available, our Co-response Team will respond with law enforcement. This database is a requirement of a law that was signed by the Governor of Virginia in November 2020 which allows community members to submit important mental, behavioral, and physical health information about themselves that could be useful to first responders during a crisis response. It is fully secured and can only be accessed by emergency response personnel. To learn more or input your information, go to share4health.rrcsb.org.

We also provide Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training for first responders and dispatchers.
