Area Agency on Aging

About

Encompass Community Supports, as an Area Agency on Aging (AAA), has been providing services under Title III of the Older Americans Act since 1972, covering Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties. In this capacity, our statutory mission rests with the Area Plan for Aging Services in partnership and with the oversight of the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS).

Information and Assistance

Gathering information and assistance is the first step for anyone seeking information about resources and services available to older adults and their caregivers.

Our team of Support Coordinators is composed of a knowledgeable group of professionals dedicated to helping people through the aging journey. Through Support Coordination, we provide information and assistance to help Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock County older adults, their families, and caregivers access information about available resources and services.

This is accomplished through various materials, community presentations, phone calls, counseling, and by providing services and support to help older residents be engaged and remain in their communities for as long as possible.
