What is this service?
Early intervention resources and therapy.
Who is this service for?
Parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers (2 and under) with potential or existing developmental delay, or atypical development residing in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, or Rappahannock Counties.
Encompass Community Supports’ Infant and Toddler Connection (ITC) provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth through age two) who have a diagnosed condition with a high probability of resulting in a developmental delay, have an existing delay, or have atypical development. The goal of these services is to help parents and caregivers support their child’s development, lessen the effects of the delay or disability, improve the overall functioning of the child, and increase the child’s participation in home and community activities. While these services may occur in a variety of settings, the focus is placed on delivering services in the natural environment, including at home and in the community.
Services are designed to address the child’s overall development, including communication, physical development, cognitive development, social or emotional development, and adaptive environment.
Services available include Service coordination, Eligibility determination, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, and Developmental Services.
For a full list of available early intervention services, go to the ITC of Virginia website.
While service coordination, eligibility determination, and an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) development are provided at no cost to families, there are fees for some of the other services; however, no family is denied services due to an inability to pay.
